China continues supplying fresh-cut flowers to Russia

Since early January 2026, fresh-cut flowers from China have been arriving in the Russian Far East. On 5 January, over 102,000 stems, including roses, carnations, chrysanthemums, lilies and hydrangeas, reached Khabarovsk. All shipments passed quarantine inspections.

On 12 January, more than 2,000 flowers in the Altai region were found with quarantine pests such as Palm thrips, western flower thrips, and tobacco whitefly. Authorities took necessary measures to neutralize the risk.

The same day, the first direct shipment of 1,400 tulips from China arrived in Khabarovsk and passed all phytosanitary checks.

In 2025, the region tested over 2 million imported stems, detecting 20 cases of quarantine pests. Imports continue under strict phytosanitary control.
