Fred Kruisselbrink from Anthura on the energy transition at IPM Essen

During IPM in Essen, from 27 to 30 January, Fred Kruisselbrink, General Manager of Anthura Arndt, will share his vision on modern energy in horticulture at the Gardeners Forum. In his contribution titled 'Powering the Future of Horticulture', he will discuss the opportunities for moving towards climate neutral cultivation, the innovations needed to get there, and the practical experiences from Anthura. "As a horticultural company we need energy and have learned to use heat and electricity efficiently, that is the reality of today," says Kruisselbrink. "But the future requires more: moving away from a single source and choosing a flexible mix of futureproof energy options."

Speaking times and location
Visitors who want to attend Fred Kruisselbrink's contribution are welcome at the Gardeners Forum in Hall 2. Fred will speak twice during the fair: on Tuesday 27 January from 11.00 to 11.30 and on Wednesday 28 January from 14.00 to 14.30.

Anthura novelties in the stand and novelty showcase
Alongside Fred's contribution, three novelties are presented at the novelty showcase: Tromso (Phalaenopsis), Fiducia® (Anthurium) and Camina® (Bromelia). In the stand, the vintage inspired Phalaenopsis line Vintura® receives extra attention. The full assortment and information on the innovations can be found at stand 1C33.

Vintura line
The Vintura Phalaenopsis series is presented to a wide audience at IPM. This line consists of varieties with soft, vintage pastel tones that blend gently into each other and evoke a timeless romantic look. The colours range from warm pink to soft yellow and muted lilac, inspired by classic Southern European vintage style. Vintura stands for refinement, gentle colour transitions and an elegant appearance, making it a distinctive addition to the current assortment.

Tromso
Tromso is a Phalaenopsis with snow white, round flowers that create a fresh and calm appearance. The combination of white flowers and green stems results in a balanced look. This variety stands out for its consistent stem structure and a long shelf life of more than sixteen weeks.

Fiducia
Fiducia is a striking green Anthurium with light green flowers that stand out clearly against the darker foliage. The variety has been tested for cold tolerance and maintains its colour for a long time under different conditions. Fiducia is available in pot sizes fourteen and seventeen.

Camina
Camina is a Bromelia with a richly branched purple pink flower and strong foliage. The plant has a powerful structure and is grown in pot size twelve. The combination of form and foliage quality makes Camina an appealing choice within the Bromelia assortment.
