Following A Path to Floral Mastery, Decorum will introduce a new documentary series titled Grower for a Day. The series focuses on Dutch Decorum growers and highlights the daily reality of professional plant and flower production.
In Grower for a Day, master florists and international industry experts Joseph Massie, Klaus Wagener, Michael Perry, and Nadia Duran visit all Decorum growers. They work alongside the growers, ask questions, and experience first-hand what is involved in producing plants and flowers. The series covers a wide range of activities, from early mornings in the greenhouse to practical work and cultivation decisions.
According to the producers, the encounters result in new insights, in-depth discussions, and informal moments during the working day. The series does not focus on finished floral designs, but instead highlights craftsmanship, technical knowledge, and the commitment required at the grower level.
Decorum states that Grower for a Day offers a behind-the-scenes look at what is needed on a daily basis to produce plants and flowers to a consistent quality standard.
In the first episode, Joseph Massie visits Decorum growers Fa. Spruit & Zn., Van der Gulik, and Borst Bloembollen. The episode focuses on tulip production in the Netherlands and shows the processes involved in growing tulips that meet Decorum's quality requirements.
