At the show, ILIP will showcase two of its key innovations. The first is the new eco-hobby plug tray line, available with 1, 4, 6 or 12 cells. Thanks to a lower capacity compared to standard plug trays, these products make it possible to reduce peat consumption, delivering a double benefit in terms of material savings and cost reduction. The plug trays are manufactured in R-PET with certified recycled content and are compatible with the 10-compartment PS or R-PET tray series.

The second new development concerns the new Ø10 cm and Ø14 cm growing pots made from 100 percent anthracite R-PET. The colour is achieved without the addition of masterbatches and is determined directly by the recycled material itself, allowing it to block the passage of light. The pots maintain the same size and volume as standard market models, but stand out for their numerous drainage holes, fast machine destacking and anthracite grey colour, chosen as a standard alternative to black. This is a unique product in Europe, fully recyclable in the PET plastic stream at the end of its life cycle.
Alongside these new products, ILIP will be presenting the full HortiPack range at MyPlant & Garden, including seed trays, plug trays, pot trays for transport and cultivation, a specific line of trays for succulent pots and micro-pots. The thermoformed products are available both for manual handling and for use on mechanized lines, covering the full range of production needs of customers.
The distinguishing feature of the HortiPack range lies in its R-PET solutions, with recycled material content reaching up to 80–90 percent. These products offer the same performance as traditional PS products in terms of load capacity, handling resistance, ease of use on production lines, reduced machine downtime and optimised packaging thanks to easy destacking, while delivering a significantly lower environmental impact.

Made from post-consumer materials such as PET and R-PET food packaging and milk bottles, HortiPack products actively contribute to the development of the circular economy. By extruding plastics of different colours, a grey secondary raw material is obtained, whose origin can be traced and whose quality ILIP can guarantee. The company is part of the ILPA Group, which vertically manages the entire process of post-consumer PET recycling, extrusion and transformation into new products.
Thanks to an advanced recycling plant and an annual capacity of around 60,000 tonnes of PET, ILIP and the ILPA Group are actively contributing to reducing environmental impact, advancing the circular economy for packaging and achieving Italian and European recycling targets.
