Powell Gardens is kicking off the spring season with the return of one of its annual exhibitions, "Orchid Delirium." But this year, the exhibit may look a little bit different. In honor of the United States' 250th anniversary, the 2026 Orchid Delirium exhibit will pay homage to the White House and its gardens. The goal is to celebrate orchids as a symbol of "beauty, diplomacy, and cultural connection."
"The inspiration for this year's Orchid Delirium comes from historic gardens, state occasions, and the spirit of the Semiquincentennial," said Powell Gardens CEO Cody Jolliff.
"It's a celebration of design, hospitality, and the natural beauty of orchids. Powell Gardens is a place where everyone is welcome, and this exhibit is an invitation to experience the elegance and wonder of orchids together."
Throughout the spring season, hundreds of blooming orchids will be showcased inside Powell Gardens' glass-domed conservatory, immersing visitors in cascading displays and vibrant colors.
