Potted plants break the 'fresh cut flower' monopoly
Fresh cut flowers were no longer the only gift option. Beautifully packaged potted plants emerged as a new favorite this year. Whether on online e-commerce platforms or in physical flower shops, ornately presented potted orchids (Phalaenopsis), succulents, and dahlias were highly sought after. Women buying for women becomes a new trend
The most striking change, however, lies in the emotional core of flower consumption. In previous years, the norm was "men buying for women" and "children buying for mothers," conveying gratitude, blessings, and love. This year, "women buying for women" emerged as a significant new trend.
Whether it's female friends exchanging bouquets to share the joy of the festival, or women carefully selecting a bouquet for themselves, this act represents self-reward, recognition, and self-love.
