Student brings tulip field to life at family’s Oklahoma farm

A family-owned farm on the outskirts of Ardmore is drawing flower pickers each spring, thanks in part to a tulip field started by a college senior.

Barrett Allen, an agriculture student at Oklahoma State University and co-owner of Dogwood Blooms, said the idea to plant a tulip field came to him about three years ago.

"My family has always been in agriculture but this was my way to come back to the farm," Allen said.
