Vitroflora has announced a change in the board of its Dutch daughter company Alkemade Perennials, based in Lisse.
Mr. Jaap van der Meij, who skilfully led Alkemade as CEO since July 2021, has decided to step down from his position, effective May 31st, 2026. He ensured the company's stability and strengthening its position in the perennial young plant supplier market, following the acquisition by Vitroflora in 2020. Mr. Jaap van der Meij will remain with Alkemade until 31st May 2026 and will work closely together with his successor during the transition period to ensure a seamless transfer of his duties.

Mr. Jeroen Meeder will succeed Mr. Jaap van der Meij as CEO of Alkemade Perennials. He brings extensive experience in international organizations and a deep understanding of the European market and the specifics of ornamental plant cutting trade, especially perennials. He will remain responsible as the commercial director of the Vitroflora group for activities aiming to strengthen Vitroflora/Alkemade's position in the professional perennial cutting supplier market. As CEO of Alkemade Perennials, he will focus on further integrating processes and the organisation of both companies to enhance market efficiency, supported by the entire team and the continuously developing organisation.
