On March 18, the new tulip Tulipa 'Pairi Daiza' was officially presented at Pairi Daiza. The baptism of the variety also marked the start of the spring festival 'Floral Dreams', which runs until mid-May.
Tulipa 'Pairi Daiza' is the highlight of this year's flower festival and was developed in collaboration with JUB Holland. It is a double early tulip with a richly filled, peony-like flower shape and a bright yellow color. The variety reaches a height of approximately 40 cm and blooms in April. Its sturdy stems ensure a long vase life.

A total of 3,000 bulbs have been planted exclusively in the park, including around L'Oeuf du Monde, the entrance area of the park. In 2026, the variety will be exclusively on display and for sale at Pairi Daiza. The bulbs will be available in the park's boutiques from the autumn of that year.
"A flower is given a name. That name becomes a responsibility. The flower is yellow like the sun that always returns. Every spring, the tulips of Pairi Daiza will embody what we want to be: a garden where the beauty of the world remains alive and accessible to everyone," said Eric Domb, Founder and Chairman of Pairi Daiza.

"The park beautifully demonstrates how flower bulbs bring the landscape to life in early spring. They provide the first splashes of color of the season and are a valuable food source for pollinators. At the same time, they truly draw visitors into spring and set the tone for everything that follows. It is inspiring to see how the gardening team works here with such knowledge and a strong sense of composition. The fact that we were able to select a new variety together that bears the name Pairi Daiza makes this collaboration especially meaningful for us," added Robbert Uittenbogaard of JUB Holland.
Pairi Daiza currently features more than 4,000 plant species. In the autumn of 2025, approximately 500,000 flower bulbs were planted, in addition to the 2 million perennial bulbs already present. The park showcases 200 tulip varieties, as well as 150 magnolias and 50 cherry trees.
A visit to the new tropical greenhouse Edenya was, of course, not to be missed. With a surface area of 40,000 m² and a height of 25 meters, Edenya is the largest tropical greenhouse in the world. It houses 1,800 plant species, various animals, and even hotel rooms.
