The agriculture ministry said Friday that Taiwan secured NT$750 million (US$23.46 million) in orchid export orders at the Taiwan International Orchid Show in Tainan, a 3% increase from last year.
CNA reported that more than 300,000 people visited the exhibition. During the event, 32 buyers from 20 countries met with 37 Taiwanese orchid growers for 224 business meetings.
The show also featured over 90 booths at a flower market that drew strong public interest. On-site flower sales reached NT$13.97 million, while local agricultural products generated about NT$9 million, per Economic Daily News.
