In April, Evanthia celebrates its 12,5 year anniversary. What started as an ambitious ornamental plant breeding company has grown, in just over a decade, into an international player in seeds and young plants for the professional horticultural industry. With a growing assortment, an international customer base, and a strong focus on innovation, quality and customer orientation, the company continues to develop.
Since its foundation, Evanthia has focused on developing distinctive varieties, sourcing tropical seeds, and supporting growers worldwide with high-quality cultivation and market knowledge. Through a combination of breeding expertise, market focus and close cooperation with customers, the company has built a strong position within the international ornamental horticulture sector in a relatively short period of time.
In recent years, Evanthia has further developed its activities within two specialised divisions: Flowers and Tropical. The Flowers division focuses primarily on cut flowers and flowering pot plants from seed for professional growers. The Tropical division focuses on tropical crops from seed and tissue culture for the production of young green plants, as well as the supply of seeds to pot plant growers. This organisational focus enables Evanthia to further strengthen both market segments in a targeted way.

The organisation has also grown internally. The team has been expanded with specialists in breeding, product development, sales and marketing. At the same time, Evanthia continues to invest in innovation, international collaboration, and the development of new varieties and concepts that meet the needs of growers and the market.
The 12,5 year anniversary marks a moment to reflect on the company's development and on the people and partners, including customers and suppliers, who have contributed to this journey. Throughout the year, Evanthia will mark this milestone on several occasions, both internally and externally. The anniversary will be celebrated in April with a dedicated event for all employees, alongside other activities and communications.
