Könst continues rollout of Mansuino Hydrangeas under the Azzurra brand

Last year, Könst already announced its cooperation with Mansuino Breeding regarding the representation of their Hydrangea genetics across several international regions. With this collaboration now moving into the next phase, the first selected varieties under the Azzurra® brand are becoming available for growers through Könst.

Könst represents the Mansuino Hydrangea assortment in key markets including Europe, the USA, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and additional regions. The varieties are already recognized in the market under the Azzurra brand name, with the first commercial plantings established over the past few years.

Building on this foundation, Könst and Mansuino Breeding are now working together to further strengthen the international positioning of the genetics and support a structured introduction towards additional growers and production regions.

From this year onwards, selected varieties are becoming available for:

  • trial requests
  • commercial testing
  • initial grower introductions

At the same time, the varieties are being evaluated in Könst's trial facilities in the Netherlands, where performance under European growing conditions is assessed. These trials support the selection process and help determine the next steps towards broader commercial rollout.

"We already communicated the start of our cooperation with Mansuino Breeding last year," says Henk van der Voorden. "With the Azzurra Hydrangea program already established in the market through the first commercial plantings, we are now entering the next phase. Through trials in the Netherlands and gradual introductions with growers, we aim to further strengthen the international position of these Hydrangea genetics together with our partners."

Growers interested in receiving trial material, technical information, or placing initial orders are invited to contact Könst through the regular channels.

Together with partners and growers worldwide, Könst looks forward to continuing the development and strengthening of the Azzurra Hydrangea program in the coming years.
