Anthura B.V. is marking a significant milestone this week: twenty years since the Dutch young plant specialist took its first steps in Kunming, China — a city widely known as the City of Eternal Spring. What began as a strategic decision to position the company closer to the rapidly growing Asian market has since evolved into a cornerstone of Anthura's global operations.

Over the past two decades, Anthura Kunming has distinguished itself through local young plant production, continuous quality improvement driven by on-site expertise, and a dedicated, highly skilled local team. Together, these elements have made the Chinese operation an integral part of the company's identity and international strength.
"We are very proud to open a brand new 2.7 hectare greenhouse in Kunming today. We celebrate this not only with our valued colleagues. The opening ceremony is also attended by the Dutch Ambassador to China, H.E. Mr André Haspels, senior Yunnan provincial and local government officials, key suppliers, as well as 19 of our valued international customers," said the company in a statement.
The milestone reflects not only the company's growth in the region, but also the strength of the partnerships and relationships built along the way. For Anthura, the opening of this new facility is both a celebration of what has been achieved and a confident step toward the next chapter of its presence in China.
