During the Hortex Exhibition a number of lectures and presentations were given, all translated in Vietnamese and English.

The faculty of Agronomy of the university of Nong Lam, specialising in crop production. Tran Hoai Tang is lecturer as the university. The industry in Vietnam has seen many changes, now more technology is applied to growing, more greenhouses are being build and for open field better irrigation and cultivation practises are being used. Still opportunity in breeding and variety management, and how to adapt to climate change. Problems in the Mekong Delta include water irrigation and flooding.

BHK Greenhouse from Ankara is a greenhouse builder and manufacturer. This is the first time at Hortex, are working to expand internationally. Also have a polycarbon factory used for greenhouse constructions. On the photo are Eziz Karakulov and Ali Bicakci.

Signify has an office in Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. Most developments take place on Dahlat cities. The difference between the sunny season and the rainy season shapes the market. AutoGrow by BlueLab provides automation solutions that can be applied on smaller scale to more larger complex solutions. Priva’s partners in Vietnam with Luu Nguyen Ai Nhan and Nguyen Ngoc Trinh. Vietnam has a large market for horticulture. The partnership started last year.

Rijkzwaan developed an entire range for the Asian market, including colourful baby pepper, sweet Palermo and Medley tomato. On the photo is Thoai, he is a product development specialist responsible for lettuce in Vietnam.

Bilel Tlili is with Aster from Italy. Aster creates irrigation solutions for open ground and greenhouse farming. The company uses 100% virgin material, accepted in organic agriculture, with long lasting life. Fourth time at Hortex.

Asthor has been active in Vietnam and participating since the first Hortex. On the photo is Manuel Guerrero.

Watanabe Pipe is a Japanese with office and manufacturing in Vietnam. The company builds and construct greenhouses. Also distribute related products like colouring for flowers, under the Fantasy brand, and greenhouse equipment. Thuy is from Sedia System from Vietnam, Okumasa, Takashi Tsuchiya and Satoshi Nakajima.

Netafim has a strong presence in Southeast Asia. Is has a head quarter in Bangkok and is working with different partner companies across the region. The company does projects for small hold farms and big government projects to community farms and greenhouse growers. There is growing demand for high-quality vegetables, which need greenhouses. CMF from France is a turn-key greenhouse builder. The company is active in France, Mexico and Southeast Asia. Asia is a long-term market for the company, who has been active here more than 10 years.
