Roses on the left are colored by means of a cup seperating the outer leaves from the inner ones. The black ones are colored that way by means of putting ink in the water. The multi-colored ones are also colored with ink, whereby the bottom of the stems is cut in four more or less equal parts, which are placed in differenttly colored water reservoirs.
