AU: Gloriosa Nursery blossoms at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show

Running a nursery on your own, with little growing experience, can be a hard slog. But it appears to have paid off for Jan van Rooijen. Her venture, Gloriosa Nursery was named winner of the Growers Display at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show tonight.

Gloriosa Nursery is a 7.14h family-run cut flower nursery in Emerald that has been involved with the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show since the early 1990s.

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, the MIFGS is expected to attract more than 110,000 international, national and local visitors across the five days.

Gloriosa Nursery, established in 1982, now has 12 polyhouses and three shade houses and supplies to wholesalers at Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
