Canada: Cherry Lane Greenhouse brings color back to spring

Driving around Regina, everything is brown and gray but stepping inside Cherry Lane Greenhouse is like skipping directly into May and June with everything is alive and growing again.

We have the blue sky and the hot sun but for people with green thumbs, the final ingredient for spring in Saskatchewan is colour. Greenhouse owner Colleen McGillvray has been busy transplanting and fertilizing seedlings for weeks and now those tiny plants are starting to show more life.

"It's all about timing because we have had black and white seasons and gray for how many months? We want to see some colour," she said. "So when the customer walks in I want them to see the earth is alive."
