Customers lined up for the opening of the annual Taylor County Future Farmers of America Greenhouse at Grafton High School on Tuesday. The students have been working since February growing all the plants to fill the space.
“We get all of our shipments in different little plug trays, and we take them plant them into six packs and hanging baskets. We water them all throughout until they grow all the way,” said Lauren Tennant, President of the Taylor County FFA.
The greenhouse offers various types of flowers, hanging baskets, and even vegetables like tomatoes, peppers and cabbage. All of the proceeds go right back to the FFA to help with the following year's greenhouse.
