New garden rose baptized by HRH Princess Benedikte of Denmark at the 16th International
Inner Wheel Convention in Copenhagen
The Inner Wheel Forever® garden rose from Danish Rose Breeding company Roses Forever ApS, was baptized by HRH Princess Benedikte of Denmark at the 16th International Inner Wheel Convention in Copenhagen May 2015.
2,500 attendees witnessed the event from all around the world.
The sales of the rose will support the important work of the Inner Wheel organization, and when baptizing the rose in pink champagne HRH Princess Benedikte said: “May this beautiful rose bring happiness to children worldwide”.
International Inner Wheel is one of the largest women’s service voluntary organizations in the world and active in more than 103 countries with 100,000 members in 3,895 Clubs.
The Inner Wheel Forever® is a romantic and very healthy garden rose with beautiful light pink roses. It will be available for sales worldwide from autumn 2015/Spring 2016.
The selection of the Inner Wheel Forever® rose
The Inner Wheel Forever® garden rose is the result of a long breeding process from Danish Rose Breeder Rosa Eskelund.
With a brush, Rosa Eskelund cross-pollinates the roses, just like a bee in the nature.
The Inner Wheel Forever® garden rose has been selected from more than 1000 new garden roses that has been tested on open land in Denmark and Holland during the past 4 years.
It is produced both in Denmark, Australia and Japan, and in near future it will be produced in even more countries around the world.
With her passion for roses, Rosa has created many great successes, both Roses Forever® and Infinity® mini roses, Plant’n’Relax® garden roses and Viking® cut roses.
Rosas advice on garden roses
• You can plant both bare-rooted and potted garden roses in your garden.
• The bare-rooted roses should be planted in November-March.
• Potted garden roses can be planted in both the spring, summer and fall.
• Roses like sunshine, space around them and good soil.
• The roses need fertilizer 4 times in the growing season.
• Cut the roses in the beginning of April when the frost is over.
• The pruning will keep the roses beautiful and healthy for many years.
