JZ Flowers plans UK's largest bouquet packing centre in East Yorkshire

JZ Flowers supplies about 600,000 bouquets a week to major retailers.

It is now set to add an extension of more than 135,000sq ft to its premises, allowing for increased storage capacity and larger-scale peak-time operations.

The scheme, which is expected to cost a six-figure sum, is now going through the planning process and would leave the facility responsible for packing a quarter of all British bouquets.

Financial director Darren Nicholson said: "It's fair to say we will be growing and we will be adding people.
