The Netherlands: Van Zaal Transport launches Track and Trace App

When several clients of Van Zaal Transport asked for an app to see the actual order status on their smartphones, the business decided to offer this service. The T&T App has recently been available which gives direct insight into the actual status and the expected delivery time.

Are you expecting one or more deliveries at your delivery address today? With the T&T App, you can immediately see the current situation. To use the app, you just need to enter a login and password once so that it is clear for which address you want to receive information about.

Van Zaal Transport does many logistics for floriculture chains. "Clients chose Van Zaal Transport because they want a high level of flexibility," stated the business. "By using digital support, a high delivery reliability with reasonable costs can be offered." This delivery reliability can be supplied by an intensive coordination of loads - and unloading times and other transport details. A planning system calculates optimal trips and by making use of on-board computers and barcode scanners when loading and unloading, the process can be refined and tracked. The planners can therefore concentrate on details in order to improve their service provision. "An average of 69% of orders are received digitally and Van Zaal Transport is able to pass these savings on to their clients."

The app provides an extra information channel in addition to their existing web portal which has been in existance for years. Clients have access to the actual track and trace information by way of a digital instruction confirmation and can see the most recent position of the truck in Google Maps.

The app is suitable for both Android and IOS and is available in the relevant playstores.
