A new pink rose flower named 'Lady Margaret', after the First Lady, was launched during an international flower expo in Nairobi on Wednesday.
Florists are optimistic that the flower, developed for a period of 10 years before introduction to the market, will increase their earnings.
"The rose is eye-catching. The colour pink reflects your vibrant personality," Netherlands Ambassador to Kenya Joost Reintjes told Margaret while presenting a bouquet.
