UK: Gillingham's Orchard Park joins UK’s top Garden Centres
The Garden Centre Association, with its dedicated head office team, represents more than 200 garden centres - widely regarded as being among the UK's most progressive. As the market has grown and the expectations of customers have increased, many have developed to become full scale 'leisure destination' centres offering a rich and rewarding shopping experience based around plants and related products for the home and garden.
Ensuring customer satisfaction is a crucial aspect of GCA activity and they don't grant membership easily! All members are required to meet GCA standards, which represent the very best in garden centre retailing. Prior to gaining membership, the garden centre is subjected to a full and comprehensive standards inspection by a GCA inspector.
Orchard Park is now part of an accredited group of some 200 garden centres nationally who have been audited and met the high standards of presentation and service that is expected of this group. As part of the membership, the GCA conduct an annual inspection to provide constructive suggestions for improvements to help raise standards further, highlight good practice where found, make appropriate suggestions on ways to increase sales, profits and help motivate teams to strive that bit harder.
