Netherlands: Export ornamentals up by 14,6%

The export of cut flowers rose by 10,5% compared to June last year, reports Floridata. Floridata is a dataplatform for traders in the floriculture industry. In the potted plants a larger increase could be noticed; 17%. On average the export increased by 14.6%.

Also cumulatively (from January 1st till June) the export rose, however not in all sectors. The cut flowes increased by 6.4% and the potted plants decreased with 2.8%. All in all, this results in an increase of 3.3%.

Industry turnover
The total turnover of the industry was €442,345,000 compared to € 385,946,000 of last year. Cumulatively, a increase of almost € 100,000,000 has been measured (3.04 billion last year compared with 3.14 billion this year).
