Orchids attract an avid and wide following, and lovers of the exotic blooms can indulge in a spectacular show this weekend.
The Levin Orchid Society are holding their annual flower show on Saturday and Sunday, at Te Takere in Levin.
Manakau-based Eva Orchids owner Eva Yin said there would be thousands of orchids on show and for sale, creating a colourful display.
Six commercial growers were expected, as well as displays by the Manawatu, Wellington and Whanganui orchid societies.
