UK: Bromsgrove to host Chrysanthemum competition

Bromsgrove will play host to a Chrysanthemum competition which is taking place on Thursday (September 17).

The event, organised by the Shirley Chrysanthemum Society, is now in its 72nd year and there are expected to be more than 100 blooms on show.

The group’s treasurer John Rogers said: “We always get a really good turn-out and we are expecting to get some more dynamic displays this year.”

Anyone wanting to go along can speak to members of the society in the morning and they can have a closer look at the varieties after about 2pm when judging has taken place.

It is being held at Burcot Garden Centre, Alcester Road.
