Netherlands: August was not a great month for export flowers and plants

Last month, the export figures were lower than the same month, one year ago. The potted plants, in particular decreased heavily: -6.4%. The export turnover of cut flowers remained almost the same: -0.2%.

Cumulative speaking, the figures are better than last year; a increase of 3%, € 3.862.451.000 compared to €3.750.643.000. However, also in these figures, the potted plants lag behind. The total export of potted plants is 3.1% lower compared to last year while the export of cut flowers increased by 5.8 percent.
