Blacktown Workers Club celebrates its 60th anniversary:

AU: Sowing the seeds of sustainability

Gifts are what you often receive when it's your birthday, but for some, the joy of giving is far more rewarding.

"What better way to mark this occasion than by delivering students of Blacktown a small gift to help 'plant' for their future," the club's general manager Neale Vaughan said.

"It's of great importance that we show the younger generation how to care for this amazing planet, what a way for our club to do that by giving a small gift in celebration that is centred on new growth.

"This little gift is a mini pot plant that the children can sow and watch grow."
