Canadian orchid grower adds wishing cards to increase Breast Cancer Awareness
"The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we are sincerely excited to have partnered with Hamilton Health Sciences for a great cause: For all of October we will add a tag- a wishing card - to each 5” Orchid and each Mini Orchid in Glass," says Mike van Steekelenburg of Cosmic Plants. A portion of the proceeds of each Orchid from CosMic Plants sold in October will be donated to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation - Juravinski is one of the Hamilton Health Sciences hospitals with a large focus on cancer treatment and research.
"Our customers’ participation in this program is automatic, without any extra cost. They just have to tell their customers about it, and as such we all contribute to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Center Foundation."
