11 acres of land at Vemagiri:

India: Floriculture research centre to promote the growth of nurseries in the region

Janakiram, Assistant Director-General, Horticulture Science, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, said a floriculture research centre would be set up in 11 acres of land at Vemagiri near Kadiyam to promote the growth of nurseries in the region. Speaking to newsmen at the Horticulture Research Station here on Friday, he said that a sum of Rs 1 crore would be sanctioned initially for the centre. KV Prasad of Directorate of Floricultural Research, horticultural scientists G Narasinga Rao, G Ramanandam, Chalapathi Rao and others were present.
