UK growers visit Mill Pond Flower Farm to learn more about growing and selling flowers

Flower growers from across the UK travelled to Foulden recently to find out how to successfully grow flowers for sale.

Mill Pond Flower Farm at Foulden is run by Paula Baxter whose focus on traditional native flowers has seen her flower sales going from strength to strength in the four years it has been in business.

Paula grows a huge variety of flowers and foliage on the four acre smallholding and sells direct to the public for weddings, events and parties.

In 2015 she has also set up a wholesale business that delivers weekly to florists in the borders and in Edinburgh.

“Demand for our flowers has been extremely high throughout the season and supplying florists has really taken off,” said Paula.
