Netherlands: Turnover of Plantion in 2016 increases to Euro 97 million

The flower auction Plantion has targeted its turnover for next year at 97 million euros. This was announced by director Peter Bakker during a general meeting of the cooperative auction.

The flower auction business hopes to attain its first earnings next year with the digital market place which was designed this year. This additional outlet, which in particular is intended for exclusive products, should generate a sale of EUR 1.5 million.

The rates of the auction will go slightly up in 2016. The fixed charges for producers and recipients rise slightly. In addition, the transaction charge for buyers at the auction clock will also rise slightly. In 2016, the clock will be good for a turnover of EUR 50.8 million euro, predicts Bakker. The intermediary sales will rise to EUR 42.5 million. The Turnover of Plantion will be 4 percent higher than in 2015.
