About the trade show
483 exhibitors from 12 different countries presented their innovative products and services to clients and prospective clients. 54% of these exhibitors offered plants. The remaining 46% offered services. In total about 12,366 visitors visited the trade show. The audience comprised producers (28%), garden contractors (26%), young plant-producers (23%) and retailers (23%). The majority of the visitors came from France. The trade show's main theme this year was “Gardens in Town” with a focus on green in the city. As the floor plan of the trade show was drastically altered, the Flemish booth moved into a new hall, together with other foreign companies and florists companies.
VLAM and AVBS participated with a new stylish booth, in which 5 export companies got their own space to present their products and to meet their business contacts. Also enough space was secured to present their products together in the back of the booth. Prior to the trade show, advertisements were placed in different French journals to confirm the Flemish participation.
