NL: The Magical hydrangea is in high demand
Purchasers from flower shops and garden centre have shown a great deal of interest due to the Magical hydrangea's colour-changing characteristic. When exposed to daylight, the hydrangeas slowly change colour. Magical house hydrangeas start with pink or blue flowers and end up with dark red or deep-green flowers depending on the variety. The label depicts the changing of its colours.
Grower Erik van der Valk: “The robust Magical house hydrangeas not only perform magic with colours but flower for an extremely long period. With proper care, they will certainly offer 150 days of pleasure. You do not need to have a "green thumb". To water regularly and add plant nutrients every now and then is enough,” according to van der Valk.
The Magical hydrangeas are cultivated in the Netherlands by two nurseries: De Bonfut in Honselersdijk and Van Dijk in De Lier.
