Each of the HortiLED product offerings features LED optics allowing growers to achieve the same lighting performance as traditional sources—with all the benefits of LEDs.
The HortiLED TOP is a versatile top-lighting system that can be used for all types of crops. With a light output of 860 μmol/m2.s and a system efficacy of 2.7 μmol/J, the HortiLED TOP delivers optimum performance and energy savings.
The HortiLED INTER delivers up to 125 μmol/m2.s uniformly to the top surface of the leaves, even at the lowest levels of the canopy–while delivering system efficacies as high as 2.63 μmol/J. The narrow-profile modules are also designed to provide optimal heat management–enabling close-to-canopy mounting without any burning. The HortiLED INTER can be used as standalone system or in combination with one of PL Light Systems’ top lighting solutions.
The HortiLED MULTI is a small fixture that allows for maximum space utilization and system efficacies as high as 2.5 μmol/J. Designed to deliver exceptional uniformity, in limited-daylight, multilayer applications, the HortiLED MULTI ensures even illumination to each individual plant–regardless of its position in the layer. Multiple spectral options allow growers to tune the lighting according to the desired plant responses.
“With the introduction of these new HortiLED products, PL Light Systems holds a unique advantage over other horticultural lighting suppliers. We now offer a full suite of products and technologies—including LED, high-pressure sodium, metal halide and hybrid systems.” explains Todd Phillips, General Manager at PL Light Systems. “This allows us to provide customers with an unbiased lighting solution that is truly the best fit for their specific application, backed with invaluable local support.”
