Crowdfunding campaign for levitating plant pot

Hoverboards for humans may still be a pipe dream, but one firm has managed to create one for houseplants.

Called LYFE, this device consists of a rotating planter that hovers over an oak base, suspended in mid-air via magnetic levitation.

It is designed for air plants, or Tillandsia, which were first identified by Swedish botanist Carl Linneaus in the 18th century.

"Designed in Sweden by our talented team in line with Nordic elegance and minimalism, the geodesic form reflects several different shade of light as it gracefully rotates, creating a mesmerizing effect," states LYFE in a recent Kickstarter campaign.

The firm is currently seeking $80,000 and 74 backers have pledged a total of $19,108 – there are 29 days for this Kickstarter.
