Terra Nova Nurseries announced a sneak peek of two variety introductions for growers, Kniphofia 'Poco Sunset’ and 'Heucherella 'Plum Cascade'. These varieties are now available to growers seeking information about new liner options.
Heaucherella ‘Plum Cascade’ is the global market’s first purple trailing heucherella. Being the first, true purple trailing variety in the world, Heaucherella ‘Plum Cascade’ will offer a new color spot for the landscape.
‘Plum Cascade’ has lobed, purple-silver leaves, and it is trailing. The plant’s vigor makes for elegant mass plantings and inventive accents, containers, borders, and mixed beds.
Kniphofia 'Poco Sunset' is the newest variety to the Poco series. The flower spikes of 'Poco Sunset' are bicolored with red-orange and orange, and the plants have a long bloom time. Gardeners will be able to use this plant for a bright color spot or for mass plantings as well as enjoy it as a vertical accent.
Terra Nova Nurseries has created “Plant Profile” pages and “Grower Recipes” specific to these new varieties so growers interested in possible liner orders can learn about growing habits, plant characteristics, fertilization recommendations, water requirements, and other insights provided by the breeding team.
