In 1976 Aad van der Wilt started growing cucumbers and tomatoes, but shifted two years later to gerberas. Aad was one of the first in the mid-eighties who switched to rockwool. After a few expansions and renovations, the new nursery in Mijdrecht has developed into a 3.2 ha large greenhouse, where 37 different varieties of mini gerberas are grown.

New logo
On the occasion of the anniversary, the grower is launching a new logo. Over the last few months they, together with STRK Design have worked hard and are proud of the final result. ''We are swapping our familiar blue logo for colourful flowers which is typical for the gerbera'', the company said. In the meantime this new logo is visible in a number of places. The packaging and other related advertising will follow in the months ahead.
