AmericanHort asks for comments on pyrethroids evaluation

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is evaluating whether or not to further restrict uses of synthetic pyrethroid insecticides, including those used for nursery, Christmas tree, and floriculture production, and landscape management. Inappropriate or excessive regulations can significantly impact our industry's lives and livelihood. AmericanHort together with the Pyrethroid Working Group ask if you would voice your concerns to help the EPA better understand the important role that pyrethroids serve in providing healthy plants and landscape services and protecting the public.

Comments are due by January 31, 2017. A 60 day extension, to March 31, 2017, may be granted but EPA has not confirmed this yet. Therefore, it is best to respond now.
