In Scandinavia, there is a strong link between the seasons and particular flowers. Flowers symbolise a certain season or holiday in Sweden, like roses, gerberas and callas for Midsummer's Day. Plants form an essential part of life and a home's interior and are associated with domesticity, cosiness and increasingly often with health.
