Ecuador gears up for fifth edition of Siflor

Since 2013, Expoflores and Asocolflores, flower growers and exporters associations of Ecuador and Colombia, organize annually the International Floriculture Symposium - SIFLOR. This year is Ecuador’s turn and it will take place in November 29 and 30 (conferences) and December 1 (farms tours).

Siflor2017 is operated by the Escuela de Floricultura, an organization focused on training programs and special events for the flower industry in Ecuador.

The academic program includes conferences on topics like nutrition, fertigation, postharvest, pest control, greenhouse management, market information, costing, administration and worldwide industry updates among other interesting topics.

Lecturers from Ecuador, Colombia, Netherlands, Spain and the United States include University professors, industry professionals, investigators and other specialists of the flower industry.

Siflor is the main technical event of the flower industry of Ecuador and Colombia and this year it has the support of international companies such as Rodel Flowers, SQM, Koppert, Syngenta, Agrocienagri, Agronpaxi and the magazine Ecuador y Sus Flores.
