If you are coming to Cultivate '17 and are looking for the latest technology and production methods for an effective propagation of vegetable, tree and ornamental seedlings, you'd better come to the booth of Blackmore-Ellepot. They are introducing a number of new innovations and developments.
Backmore-Ellepot USA's National Sales Manager Lars Jensen is excited to welcome existing and new friends and customers at their booth to inform them about their latest new products.
Lars explained that their products are greatly accepted in the ornamental industry, but is also winning a lot of terrain in the agriculture sector.
"The Ellepot trays and sleeves are widely used in the ag and ornamental market helping growers with keeping the plastic containers on-site and thus avoiding contamination. They are no longer shipping out expensive pots and they do not need to spend money on collecting the pots and cleaning them thoroughly."
AIR-trays
The Ellepot and Blackmore tray systems are available in all kinds of sizes and configurations, depending on purpose, crop and preferences.
"At Cultivate '17 we are introducing our new Ellepot AIR-trays. These are specially designed for growers that need a low cost tray for 1 or 2 time use. The thermoform trays are specially designed for the ag-market and are ideal for the propagation of grape, coffee, banana and fruit trees. The design of the cells ensures a healthy root growth with no girdling."
Propagators looking for a re-usable injection molded trays are welcome to have a look at the trays that Blackmore-Ellepot USA has developed with their partner Proptek.
New hydroponic seeder
Blackmore is also bringing a new flexible seeder to Columbus. The seeder is very interesting for growers of hydroponic lettuce, herbs and other leafy greens. "It is a very flexible high speed seeder that can sow up to 3 or 4 different seeds in each cell. This is very interesting for growers of herbs and other culinary greens that require a lot of seed per cell. The seeder comes with a drill dibble and top coater and can be easily mounted on an Ellepot machine."
Furthermore, Blackmore-Ellepot USA will showcase more new machines and upgrades that will complete their machinery park, from an easy soil mixer to a new flexible transplanter.
Organic Ellepots
Another important new development is the recent introduction of the Ellepot Organic paper membranes. "The new paper Ellepots come in the standard open configuration and in a closed bottom configuration, giving organic hydroponic crops the best start. The product is 100% bio based, 100% compostable and certified input material for organic. Stop by at our booth to hear more about the limited applications for a biodegradable plant derived membrane/paper".
