The 35th edition of the Plantarium trade fair, which was held in Hazerswoude/Boskoop from 23 to 26 August, was successful, the event organization reports. Visitors greatly appreciated the new design of the trade fair, in which inspiration and experience dominated. The cooperating exhibitors in the Houses of Inspiration were also satisfied with the result.
On the professional days, the number of visitors totalled 9835, which was less than in previous years. On the traditional consumer day, many visitors found their way to the fair, bringing the total number of visitors to 15,765.
During their tour of the trade fair, Board members received compliments from exhibitors about how appealing and well looked-after the fair was, but also criticism about the number of participants and visitors. Shortly after the trade fair, the Board will evaluate the latest edition based on the evaluation forms submitted by the participants.

Stories
The 35th edition's theme was "Stories". This theme provided participants with the tools to tell their products' stories. As consumers are always very interested in all kinds of details about the products, stories are a key part of product marketing. The six Houses of Inspiration told stories centring on a theme, the eight Inspirational Gardens each told a story about a famous person, and the exhibitors told the stories of their company and product.
Plantarium 2018 will be held from 22 to 25 August 2018 in the Plantarium building at the International Trade Centre Boskoop-Hazerswoude. Further information can be found at www.plantarium.nl.
