Hosted in association with Nursery Garden Industry Australia (NGIA) from 20-23 March 2018 the week will include:
- International Horticultural Expo Conference – Delegates can hear updates on developments and progress with upcoming AIPH-approved International Horticultural Exhibitions in Taichung 2018 (Chinese Taipei), Beijing 2019 (China), Yangzhou 2021 (China), Hatay 2021 (Turkey), Almere 2022 (Netherlands) as well as others in development and applications for expos in the future.
- Understanding the global industry for ornamentals – AIPH will announce preliminary results from the AIPH International Vision Project which will identify the key trends for the future in terms of production and markets and how the industry can respond.
- Plant Health – Delegates will hear from countries that have introduced industry-led plant health certification, including Australia and the UK as AIPH looks to address shared plant health concerns in the future.
- International Green City Conference – In association with Principle R&D Partner, Hort Innovation, the conference will include high-level Green City speakers from Australia and around the world. The conference aims to demonstrate how Green Cities are cities where people want to live, how it helps them and how ‘living green’ is used to achieve this.
- Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS) – Delegates will get a guided tour of this very special event including show gardens and flower competitions.
- Professional tours – Delegates will visit the exciting new production facility of Ball Australia as well as award-winning Mansfields Propagation Nursery and Melbourne Botanic Gardens.
