UK: Plants For Europe launches two new plants at Chelsea

Plants For Europe is working with Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants to launch two new plants at this year’s Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show.

Gaillardia Apricot Honey is a new summer flowering perennial bred by Rosy Hardy of Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants.

Gaillardia Apricot Honey

It produces a long display of large warm apricot daisies from May onwards. It has been bred for use as a border perennial or for growing in a larger container. Full details can be found at www.apricothoney.com

Salvia Kisses and Wishes is the fourth in the Wish series of Salvias and was selected by Sarah Knott of Southwater in West Sussex. It brings a bright pink to the series and follows the launches of Wendy’s Wish, Embers Wish and award-winning Love and Wishes.

It makes an excellent container plant for a sunny patio, producing flowers continuously from May until frost. More information can be found at www.kissesandwishes.info

Both new varieties have been longlisted for the Chelsea Plant of the Year Award.
