Keukenhof had another successful season in 2018. Visitors gave the flower exposition a 9.0. The park was visited by 1.4 million people, just as many as last year, according to the organisation.
More young people visited Keukenhof. The average age fell from 48 years to 46 years because of more families with children and groups of people in their twenties and thirties.
The weather was more capricious than ever. The first weeks were extremely cold, then there was a lot of rain, and then came a very warm month of May, but the park was still colorful to the end. Visitors came from 100 countries. 20% is from The Netherlands, followed by Germany, US, France, China, and Great Britain.
There were no traffic problems in the Bollenstreek. More and more visitors used public transport and came via Keukenhof Express from Schiphol, Leiden, and Harlem.
The theme of Keukenhof 2019 will be Flower Power, the power of flowers. Keukenhof is open in 2019 from March 21 up to May 19.
