Turkey Ornamental Plants Growers Association’s (SUSBIR) 11th election took place last month in Ankara and Ahmet Dundar, a grower from Yalova, won the election for the second consecutive time.

There are around 600 growers registered in SUSBİR currently and it is one of the most influential sectoral organizations in ornamental plants and is in very close relations with the Ministry of Agriculture.

Both candidates for the chairman position were from Yalova, which is one of the most important production regions in Turkey. SUSBIR is not only influential within Turkey but also in a leading position in making contacts with foreign organizations and developing projects together with foreign partners.
