The IPM Essen got going yesterday, with lots of international visitors. And international visitors mean lots of opportunities to meet new contacts and potential clients, so that's what exhibitors have been doing mostly.
Novelties have been presented as well, for instance in the Innovation Showcase, but the IPM is traditionally an occasion to network and meet international contacts first and foremost.
Many growers are visiting their suppliers in the stands. It's always nice to put a face to the product you use, after all. Especially when it goes with a complementary drink and/or snack.
