Want your flowers to shine in arrangements made by international famous floral designers? Next month, from April 5-7, the first edition of lifestyle flower event Blossoming Herkenrode will take place in Hasselt, Belgium. This new event is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors from all over Belgium and to create the most colorful experience, the organization is still looking for partners to supply flowers.
Creating an experience
The driving force behind this event is International floral designer Regine Motmans, who is Art Director of one of the biggest international floral design events: FleurAmour since 2015. Following her experience gathered at this event, she decided to organize a new lifestyle event, where experience plays a key role. "FleurAmour is a great event, but it is only about flowers. I would like to attract a broader public aged between 25-55 years and create an experience with links to flowers."

Flowers will be a common theme
On 100ha, all what nature offers will be showcased inside and outdoors at the site of Herkenrode Abbey in Hasselt. Flowers will be a common theme. Professional and international famous floral designers will make art objects of the flowers. Motmans expect to require 50,000 stems of flowers and she is still looking for partners to supply them. "We can still use flowers for our designers."
Why supply flowers?
But why would a grower or exporter supply flowers to this event? Motmans explains: "Besides presenting your product to the general public, a professional photographer will take pictures of the arrangements and art objects in which the flowers are used. For three days, for example, we will serve breakfast on a 100 m long table that will be decorated with flowers. Imagine your flowers to be on this table and what an eye catcher it will be. We will also post pictures on Social Media and mention the suppliers, and they will be mentioned in the guide that we hand out during the event."
And not to forget, it is a good opportunity to put special or new varieties in the spotlight. "For example, we have a breeder who supplies products. I decide the colors we need and the breeder selects the variety he wants to promote."
