Turkish entrepreneur exports cut flowers to the Netherlands

30 year old grower Hayrettin Ozcaki migrated from Sanliurfa to Antalya 13 years ago to work in greenhouses. Settling in the Aksu district, Ozcaki has worked in various greenhouses before establishing his own greenhouse. Ozcaki started growing cut flowers in his 1.7 hectare greenhouse which he built for a total cost of 200,000 USD.

Ozcaki is exporting carnations and other varieties he is growing to the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The grower started his company in 2017 and learned the requirements of the export markets from other growers in the area who are experienced in this area. The grower has his own cooling area to store his products and then later trucks them to the Netherlands.
